AMERICAN ACCOLADES
TV, TREATMENTS, & SHORTS


RULES/GUIDELINES/REGULATIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF 
AMERICAN ACCOLADES TV, TREATMENTS, & SHORTS:

1. Entries must be post-marked by:  
FINAL DEADLINE:  January 7, 2006 / Fee $50 
2. Screenwriters must submit their material with the appropriate fee, check payable to:  American Accolades / TV & Shorts. Multiple entries require separate application forms, release forms and entry fees.
3. Screenwriters must complete the American Accolades TV, Treatments, & Shorts Competition Application, Release, and Brief Synopsis Forms.
4. Please send two complete copies of your screenplay, treatment, or short film. The screenplay title page (or short film) should include artist name, address telephone number, and email information (if available).   No other page should have any personal identifying information written on it.  Screenplays must be written in standard TV format, 3-hole punched, typed, and bound.  (See the formatting guidelines section of our Q&A page for more complete instructions.  Many books on screenwriting format are available online or at your local library.
5. Screenplays, treatments, or short films, entry forms and fees should be mailed to: American Accolades / TV & Shorts, 2118 Wilshire Blvd., Suite #160B, Santa Monica, CA 90403. Contest entries will not be returned--Do not send originals. For your own protection, we advise registering your material with the WGA and/or copyrighting any material you submit.
6. Applicants should include three self-addressed stamped envelopes to be updated on the competition's progress.
7.

Entries may be judged by any of the following: film-school professors, free-lance readers, managers, agents, executives, and producers.

8. Screenplays, treatments, and short films must be available--meaning they must not have been produced, sold or optioned prior to or at the time of submission.  
9. Applicants must be 18 years old or older at time of entry.  Screenplays must be the original work of the applicant(s).
10. Winners will be informed by mail, phone, and/or email. Finalists will have their names posted on our website TV & Shorts Hall of Fame.  Cash prizes will be mailed.
