Location,
Location, Location
Headquartered in Santa Monica, CA,
these film and television screenplay competitions are all about turning heads in the Hollywood
community. It's not about fancy banquet dinners or trophies. It's about
cash prizes, feedback, and trying to get
your work discovered and produced.
It is worth reiterating... The American Accolades is focused on getting
great material into the hands of people who can make a difference. Do we
mean this? See which film executives are
meeting with the American Accolades' Grand Prize Winner...
Or...
Listen
to what "Hollywood" is saying...
These competitions tap into the Hollywood insider community, using judges
and readers who know the business and the screenplays it desires.
Exposure to this community provides you with essential opportunities.
In Santa Monica, numerous resources abound. MGM
Studios is only one of the buyers here. Industry giants such as Jim
Cameron, Michael Bay, Pierce Brosnan's Irish
Dreamtime, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Ed Zwick
have set up shop in this locale. It is also the home of the American
Film Market (AFM).
Get discovered!
While every writer is responsible for marketing themselves, the American
Accolades may provide you with opportunities you don't otherwise have.
Insiders judging in the competition may read your material. Producers,
agents or managers may seek out the finalists who will be listed year
after year on our Film Hall of Fame and TV
& Shorts Hall of Fame webpages.
